ব্লকটিকে স্থির অবস্থান থেকে গতিশীল করার ক্ষেত্রে নিউটনের গতির তিনটি সূত্র কাজ করে।
নিউটনের গতির প্রথম সূত্রের প্রয়োগ:
প্রথম সূত্র অনুসারে, বাহ্যিকভাবে বল প্রয়োগ না করলে স্থির বস্তুর সর্বদা স্থির থাকবে। আর গতিশীল বস্তু সমদ্রুতিতে চলতে থাকবে। যেহেতু বস্তুটি স্থির ছিল এবং বস্তুর ওপর বল প্রয়োগ করলে বস্তুটির সমত্বরণে উপরে উঠে। যদি বল প্রয়োগ করা না হতো তাহলে বস্তুটি স্থির থাকতো অর্থাৎ বস্তুটিকে গতিশীল করতে নিউটনের প্রথম সূত্রের প্রয়োগ রয়েছে।
নিউটনের গতির দ্বিতীয় সূ্ত্রের প্রয়োগ:
দ্বিতীয় সূ্ত্রের অনুসারে, বস্তর ভরবেগের পরিবর্তনের হার বস্তুর উপর প্রযুক্ত বলের সমানুপাতিক। দ্বিতীয় সূত্র অনুসারে আমরা জানি, F=ma. অর্থাৎ বস্তুর ভরবেগের পরিবর্তনের হার হচ্ছে বল। আর চিত্রের বস্তুটিকে উপরে উঠানো ক্ষেত্রে বলই মূখ্য ভূমিকা পালন করে। অর্থাৎ বস্তুটি স্থির থেকে গতিশীল করতে নিউটনের দ্বিতীয় সূত্রের প্রয়োগ রয়েছে।
নিউটনের গতির তৃতীয় সূ্ত্রের প্রয়োগ:
তৃতীয় সূত্র অনুসারে, প্রত্যেক ক্রিয়ারই সমান ও বিপরীতমুখী প্রতিক্রিয়া রয়েছে। চিত্রের বস্তুটিকে যখন স্থির অবস্থা হতে বল প্রয়োগ করে উপরে উঠানো হয়েছে। তখ নিচের দিকে প্রতিক্রিয়া হিসেবে বল বা ওজন কাজ করেছে যা বস্তুটিকে উপরে যেতে বাধাগ্রস্ত করবে। এ থেকে বোঝা যায় বস্তুটি গতিশীল করতে নিউটনের তৃতীয় সূত্র কাজ করছে।
